A software engineer and a consumer of code, Anna is a key reason why ZenHub’s front-end is so fantastic.
Prior to Axiom Zen, Anna worked at Tom Sawyer Software as the CEO’s assistant, which meant she was responsible for everything from the trivial, like software testing and rewriting the company’s formal policies, to the crucial, like ordering office snacks. She also boasts a smattering of diverse experience as a marketing manager, a teahouse employee, and a 911 operator.
Anna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science in Environment Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. While there, she worked on a non-profit that provides education to children in Ghana in between mentoring underprivileged elementary school children. Anna also worked on numerous community projects and service events with the collegiate branch of Rotary International and utilized education modules to improve sustainability in the Greek community.
As far as her most notable accomplishment, Anna points to the contrast between her career as a software engineer and the two impressive-but-non-technical degrees she spent so much time earning. When questioned about her second most notable accomplishment, Anna claims to be the least physically fit person in the Axiom Zen offices.
Despite Anna’s remarkable scholastic and philanthropic successes, she isn’t one to bluster or brag. Luckily, her contributions to ZenHub and Axiom Zen speak for themselves.
