Full Stack Sorcerer
- Making things look sensational on screens
Nick survived five Canadian winters to become the Full Stack Sorcerer we all know and love.
While employed at Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi, the Caribbean region's biggest advertising agency, Nick led the charge on three regional award-winning projects. He also built up a blog that boasts over half-a-million monthly readers while simultaneously freelancing and travelling the world.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Nick went to McGill University for his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, foregoing the Caribbean island's warm weather and costume-rich carnivals for sub-zero temperatures, an iron ring, and a piece of paper. Smart move, Nick!
Bringing his distinctive Trini flavour to the Axiom Zen melting pot, Nick initiated the Santiago office mural and kicked off the front end developer study group with his fellow Axiom Zen enthusiasts.
It's not all mouth-watering metaphors and pretty pictures for Nick, though. He regularly builds up and maintains our frontend team's internal arsenal of frameworks, components, and boilerplates. Nick is also currently working on experimental and progressive modern web app techniques, as well as pushing the boundaries on the web animations and SVG front.
Inspired by the problems that need to be solved and the people these solutions will help, Nick is constantly challenging himself, leading by example, and proving the horizon is a suggestion, not a limitation.
