Talent Coordinator

Vancouver, BC

Axiom Zen, creator of CryptoKitties, is a venture studio. We turn ideas into companies. Sometimes we work independently, other times we partner with Fortune 500 leaders or domain-expert investors. Our specialty is testing the potential of emerging technology to catalyze high-growth businesses. Today that means we're working on AI, AR, and Blockchain.

In the past year, we’ve hired over 40 new team members and more than doubled our team with some of the world’s top engineers, designers, product managers and advisors. We’re looking to welcome a Talent Coordinator in Vancouver to champion our candidate experience and optimize the hiring process at Axiom Zen.

The Role:

Several titles could apply to this role—Talent Administrator, Recruitment Coordinator or Administrator—but regardless of what you call yourself, it’s up to you to help accelerate our coordination process and create a first-class hiring experience.

What we’ll accomplish together:

  • As a member of our small but mighty talent team, you’ll execute on company-wide talent initiatives.

  • We strive to develop and implement improvements that help us move faster and reduce our time to hire. In your first three months, you’ll help us enhance our existing platforms and processes.

  • We garner a lot of interest from candidates around the world, and we’d like you to be a part of identifying top talent by screening profiles, actively sourcing online, and managing our talent pools. You’ll help coordinate interviews for up to 12 simultaneous recruits.

  • We use a combination of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and our flagship product (ZenHub) to coordinate our talent processes. You’ll improve this system and overall experience for internal and external hiring partners.

  • Partnering with startup communities across the world has been integral to our success; you’ll help develop and foster new relationships with different communities to source passive talent. Within the first 3 months, we’d like you to identify key communities across Canada where the talent team can recruit from.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has experience working with an ATS and the different stages of the recruitment process.

  • Communicates themselves and their qualifications in terms of what they’ve accomplished, not their certifications or years of experience.

  • Has a flexible mindset and is capable of championing their ideas, testing their effectiveness, and implementing (or scrapping) them based on feedback and results.
